Healthcare Insurance Guide

In Spain, Health insurance is a public service (paid with your taxes). In Donostia-San Sebastián, you should contact OSAKIDETZA (here a list of all the centers available).

Yet, if you prefer to have your own private healthcare insurance, you are allowed to find and pay extra on your own.

✅Get your public Healthcare ID card:

  • Go to your closest Health Center (here a list of all the centers available), also know as AMBULATORIO.
  • Bring your registration document (EMPADRONAMIENTO) to prove you are living in that area, street or whatsoever.
  • Do some fill-in documents, and get your personal Health care ID.
